Privacy Policy

Short version: accessibility scanning happens entirely in your browser — page content, URLs, and scan results never leave your device. The only time the extension contacts the internet is when you choose to activate a paid (Pro) license, when it sends only your license key to our payment provider to verify it.

What the free scanner does

When you click the extension and press Scan, the audit engine (axe-core, bundled inside the extension) runs entirely inside your browser on the page you are viewing. Results are shown in the popup and, for Pro users, can be exported to a PDF generated on your device. No page content, URLs, scan results, or browsing data are transmitted anywhere.

Pro license activation (the only network request)

If you buy and activate a Pro license, the extension sends only the license key you enter (plus a random per-install identifier) to Lemon Squeezy (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to verify, validate, or deactivate your purchase. No page content, URLs, or scan results are ever sent. Lemon Squeezy is our payment and licensing provider and acts as a third-party processor for this step — see their privacy policy.

What we collect

We do not collect analytics, browsing history, or personal data. The only data that leaves your device is the license key you voluntarily enter to activate Pro, sent to Lemon Squeezy for verification.

Data storage

The extension stores, locally in your browser, your validated Pro license state and a random install identifier. These remain on your device; the license key is sent off-device only during activation, validation, or deactivation with Lemon Squeezy as described above.

Permissions

• activeTab — reads the current tab only when you click the extension, to audit that page.
• scripting — runs the bundled audit engine on that page when you ask it to.
• storage — remembers your Pro license locally.
• access to api.lemonsqueezy.com — used only to validate/activate/deactivate your Pro license key.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above will change and the new version will be posted here.
